A LASTING CHEERY by Joseph C. Ogbu (JoeNwaOgbu)

Before a step, give a clear measure
Let unseen be seen without pressure
Enjoy meditation, give life no fissure,
Be thyself, watch where soul seeks pleasure
Examine everything heart often cries to treasure
Especially when boldly sitting for a leisure.

For life's  betterment
Forget any negative sentiment
For soul's  divinely nourishment
Mind what heart yearns to offer a commitment
And never be moved to involve in every tournament
Just for the sake of an ephemeral enjoyment.

Permit life to be but a shining story
For not all may give God glory
 Follow Him, do not worry
Thy ordeals, He knows how to carry
Then,  live and jubilate but be wary
For God alone may grant heart a lasting cheery.
