BE VIRTUOUS by Joseph C. Ogbu (JoeNwaOgbu)

If pride may turn to be a virtue,
Please, I need not,
keep it thyself,
If impurity may arrive to be seen as a gift,
I beg thee,
come to me with none,
For I am contented with that I have,
Better appear decently on sackcloth
Than an expensive immodest attire,
Remember,
Thy value also lies on thy appearance,
Live not to imitate bad,
But allow good to be thy resting bed.
Yes, humbleness, simplicity and love
Must stand to guide us,
Not to join wrong chorus
Of a humming song.
